Tim M asked:
I prefer to carry SOB. I have been looking at the summer companion, and the summer special. If anyone has any experience with one of the two your input would be appreciated.
BTW, you really ought to reconsider that small of back carry. It is very susceptible to detection. Sitting carelessly in a hard backed chair or bench can lead to a loud CLUNK!! Bending over will cause the pistol to print strongly, and if you bend very far, you can easily fully expose your weapon. (Speaking from personal experience on both of these.) And if you fall on your back, the gun can cause serious injury to kidneys or spine. (I knew a guy who had to have back surgery because of falling on his SOB carried pistol.) And a final drawback is that it is totally open to a gun snatch from the rear.
I’ve found, as have many more expert pistol packers, that carrying on the strong-side just behind the hip is safer, faster to draw, and easier to defend against a snatch.

Galco gun leather
Milt Sparks
El Paso Leather
Those are the top three leather holster manufactures out there right now. Unless you want to go full custom rig.
